Richard Allen Jr., Esq.

Of Counsel

With more than 40 years in the courtroom, Rick brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in litigation and arbitration to the firm. Rick serves across various matters at the firm, guiding case strategy, liability assessment, insurance coverage analysis, and preparation and execution for hearings, trials, and arbitrations. Rick also handles personal injury claims related to construction and other industries. Rick’s seasoned insight into courtrooms and jurisdictions across the state is a tremendous resource for both clients and The Grosshans Group team.


Prior to joining The Grosshans Group, Rick represented clients in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, and professional/legal malpractice. He previously worked as a hospital pharmacist, hospital risk manager, and for a medical malpractice insurance company owned by the Ohio Hospital Association, where he consulted on risk management, quality assurance, and claims services for nearly 125 U.S. hospitals. 


Rick also served as an assistant to the professor at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and as an adjunct professor in pharmacy law at the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.
